Colombia Record Club Hardcover Book with 33 1/3 Vinyl Audio and Slide Cards
Vintage throwbacks to 1960s armchair travel! A division of the Colombia Record Club, the Panorama Colorside books were a monthly subscription service of nonfiction reference books. Each book included a slide cards with 32 images taken by well-known photographers and an accompanying 7" vinyl record with narrators like Vincent Price and Edward R Murrow describing the scenes and backed by traditional music and local sounds. The hardcover books feature illustrated maps, local phrase guides, historical and cultural facts and descriptions of all of the scenes on the slide cards.
These books are definitely of their era, so a lot of the observations of folk traditions and local cultures have not aged well. Perfect for craft projects, history nerds, and vintage enthusiasts.
