ARRIVING SOON: OUR BOOK CLUB

Maybe you’re already an intrepid global reader, whose bookshelves are even more filled than your passport pages. Or perhaps you want to broaden your reading horizons and need a little nudge to explore some new writers. Whatever your story, I want to invite you to join our WORD TRAVEL BOOK CLUB.

For each book club gathering, we’ll read from a shared country, but the book will be your choice. I’ll share some suggested titles that you can find here at the store or through our Bookshop.org page, but you’re also welcome to read something from your shelves or the library, too. Try out a new author, pick up that classic you’ve been meaning to read, dip into a few short stories, explore some travel writing … you can even read a book in the original language, if you prefer.

Beginning in July, our group will meet on the second Tuesday of every other month. When we gather, we’ll all be introduced to a broader survey of a country’s writing, and have the chance to explore connections and themes across books. If you attend a book club meet-up, you’ll also receive a discount for another book from that month’s featured destination.

FREE to join! While we'd love if you purchased a book through our shop, you're more than welcome to read something already on your shelf, or a book you found from the library. Destinations for the next meetup will be announced here, on Instagram, and through our newsletter.
